Happy Mother’s Day!

I hope that all the wonderful moms out there are having a great Mother’s Day! This is my first Mother’s Day as a mother-of-two, and I am feeling great! I thought having one kid was awesome, and then when #2 was on the way, I was very apprehensive about how I would possibly manage to split my love between two tiny people, and what if I couldn’t? what if there was something wrong with me?! Well, as it turns out, it’s not difficult at all! Instead of a finite amount of love to be divided in twain, the love just doubles and there’s plenty to go around! Lol, that’s a bit silly, but I’m feeling silly today (and it’s true). Someday, my children will realize that their mom is a dork, and then they will have to come to terms with their own dorkiness that I have instilled into them. Check out what this dork made for her own Mom!

Mother's Day Coffee Cozy

Coffee cup cozy! My mom LOVES coffee, so I made her a special pretty cozy so she can think of how much she is loved every time she takes a sip. I even put two buttons on so she can adjust to fit the tall skinny hot coffee cups and the more stout iced coffee cups. I also tucked a Starbucks gift card into the Starbucks cup and I’ll give her the whole thing today!

Did you catch my desperate attempt at using a prop in my photo? I’ve never been great with the props, they always seem awkward. That cutie little plant is my Zinnia that Gunner planted and is growing just for me! He waters it every other day and is very excited at its progress. We should probably get it planted outside so it gets more sun, but we need to find a nice place with lots of sunshine that is safe from the lawn mower and weed trimmer (lest it suffer a similar fate as my poor little Lilac). Perhaps we will make some time today to spend together, digging and planting outside in the sunshine. Ah, what a fun day!
